Slight bretty / barnyard nose with some zingy black cherries, tobacco, and brambles. This is elegant on the nose but powerful and very generous on the palate. Good grip, flavour and balnce
This is Fiona Leroy's first vintage in Burgundy and what a first showing this is. Fiona approaches winemaking from a 'common sense' standpoint, that means all vineyards are managed organically. Part of the approach chez Fiona Leroy involves manual work and no new oak barrels. These wines are only going to go up in price as people catch on. So enjoy it now at a sensible price.
