Introduction to Rhone wines

The Rhône valley is an ancient wine making region. The wines are so good that the Pope moved the whole of the Vatican there in the 14th century, naming his new home ‘Chateauneuf-du-Pape’. We’ll be tasting wines from some of it’s most famous regions to see the nuances in each - and how you can find good value here.

Each wine will be in 100ml glasses so you can have them to yourself, or share with a friend.

The wines:

Châteauneuf du pape Vieux Télégraphe 1997

Crozes Hermitage Clos de Cornirets 2017

Cote Rotie Gabriel Meffre 2009

Condrieu Les Chaillets 2018

Gigondas Racines 2016
