This wine from Crete is aromatic, with a touch of white wine-esque aromatics to it. It's full of raspberries and bright strawberries, but there's something green here too. This comes from Crete, where Manolis and his brother Sotiris founded the Lyrarakis winery in 1966. The grape in this wine, Liatiko, comes from vines that are now almost 100 years old. Liatiko gets its name from the Greek word meaning 'of July' because this is when it ripens. It makes an intensely flavoured wine.
