Nicolas Carmarans used to run, Café de la Nouvelle Mairie, a natural wine bar in Paris and experimented with winemaking in the early 2000's. But it wasn't until he purchased the Le Mauvais Temps vineyard in 2007 that he became serious about making wine.

"I tasted most of Nicolas Camarans wines when I was in the Lot Valley between lockdowns last year. He's an incredible winemaker with great consistency. This is one of those wines which tricks you a little. It smells and looks rich, and yet is dominated by red fruits and smooth, medium tannins. Open with the lighter ends of Sunday roasts." - JL
