What’s in the box?

Valechiusa Rosso, Ornina Wine, 2018 (£16.50)  - “Aged in concrete for one year to give it texture while keeping it fresh and juicy. You'll get flavours of wild strawberry and dark cherries. Greta the winemaker describes this as 'pericolosissimo' meaning very dangerous."

Ganadero Tinto, Bodegas Canopy, 2019 (£14.50) - "Low intervention, bursting with blueberries, chocolate and fresh herbs. A little French oak ageing adds some complex flavours with softened tannins and a smooth structure. Flowers, earth and undergrowth give it a forestry aroma."

Alvinho, L.A. Ferez, 2018 (£15) -  "You can tell straight away that this is a much cooler climate for Portugal. A little earthy, farmy quality to the deep blackberries and green pepper.”

St Laurent, Stefan Meyer, 2018 (£17) - “ This is packed full of concentrated berries that are a little tart. Super elegant and balanced, thanks to the oak ageing here. Perfect for a summer red.”

Clos Rocailleux Rouge, Clos Rocailleux, 2016 (£16.50) - “Dark brambles, earthy undergrowth and almost sweet spices. It feels soft, round and warm.”

Trinculo, StephanO, 2017 (£18) - “This one is a delight. An Austrian blaufränkisch that is spicy and full of dark cherries - all at great ripeness.”
